Beach Wedding and Reception Music

Music on the beach can be the perfect addition to your wedding ceremony and Tybee Island Wedding offers a variety of music performed by professional and unique musicians.
We also offer a prerecorded music package – you can choose from our selection of music or supply your own.

Violin – $375. What a beautiful way to have your guests arrive and for you to make your grand entrance. A live violinist contributes a wonderful and classy atmosphere to your special occasion.

Acoustic Guitar – $375. The fun and romance of having an acoustic guitar player at your beach wedding is a treat for everyone. We may be able to have them play some songs of your choice! As our guitar player has told us, “With enough advance notice, I can learn anything”. “Here comes the Bride” to “Here comes the Sun” by the Beatles for a sunrise wedding, they can probably do it!

Caribbean steel drums – Starting at $375 for one musician. We have several steel drum players! From drummers for your ceremony and/or cocktail hour, to a full Caribbean band who can really get your party moving, we can do it all! What a fun way to say “I do” or to say “We just did!”. Lute (amplified) – $400. The Lute is an acoustic instrument invented during the Renaissance. It is lyrical and adds to the soothing crashing of the waves on the shore. Truly unique!

Bagpipe (traditional) – $375. Traditional Highland bagpiper to make your ceremony classy and classic. Piper wears traditional kilt.

Mandolin – $375. Very traditional low country sounding. Will play classical and classic songs for your wedding.

Pre-recorded – $100. Choose from Traditional Classical Music or Ambient Acoustic Guitar played through a portable mp3 player or your beach wedding. Songs include a selection of classical for guests to listen to while waiting for the bride, Pacabel’s Canon in D for the bridal party and the classic “Here comes the Bride” and then the recessional after you’ve done the big kiss!

Reception Music

From simple party music, custom themes, live band or DJ, music is a mandatory staple for your wedding reception. Tybee Island Wedding will find you what you’re looking for.

In an online survey to recent brides the number one thing most brides said they’d do differently was hire a better DJ or band. We don’t have that problem here! Since we work with only professionals, you and your guests are sure to have the very best time.

Harp: $400 first hour, $100 each additional hour. Although our harpist cannot perform on the beach, a harp can provide a romantic feel to any indoor wedding, rehearsal dinner or reception.

Professional Wedding DJs: We proudly work with a large selection of DJs who work with us and will interact with your guests to make your wedding an event to talk about later! Call Tybee Island Wedding for details.

Professional Live Wedding Bands: We can do rock to country to classical or samba to Sinatra. You tell us what you envision for your beach wedding and we’ll make it happen. Bands will also ‘host’ your party. From 2 duo’s to full 6 piece bands ~ we can accommodate any size venue or needs.

Mary Davis and Company – M D & Co. covers your favorite current and classic Rock, Folk, Blues, Motown, Beach, Jazz and Country songs with equal ease. You’d be hard-pressed to find another group in the Greater Savannah area covering as wide a range of musical eras and genres, or pleasing as wide an audience.

Professional bluegrass wedding band! How very “Low Country”! $1200 for a 4 piece band who will play (3) 45 minute sets for your wedding reception! They will also ‘host’ your party with cake cutting and garter toss announcements.  A true Tybee Island favorite!!

LOCAL TYBEE “ONE MAN” BANDS
On Tybee Island, it is common to find local entertainers playing along to pre-recorded or “looped” mus
ic.

Jude Michaels – Jude has been involved in music his entire life.  He sings and plays a variety of instruments. Guitar, hand percussion ,cello, sometimes all at the same time with the help of looping samplers. Starting with classical Cello, in his hometown of Muncie, Indiana, now a Local Tybeean, Jude has spent 20 years traveling the country and mastering the art of his profession before settling on Tybee Island, Georgia. He has been a regular, longtime performer at a myriad of southern weddings and gatherings in the low country.

Randy Smith - A mixed bag of musical influences from North to South are reflected in Randy Smith’s repertoire. Born raised in Detroit, Randy reveals the Motown influence in his nostalgic 60’s and 70s’ classics; his move to Florida in the mid- 80s’ and Tybee Island in the 90s’, introduced the tropical, laid-back Jimmy Buffett element’ with a little blues, rock and country for good measure, producing a well-rounded musical style with something for everyone. The full, rich blend of Randy’s self programmed Midi – background music, electric guitar and vocals create the illusion of a full band.

And while you’re planning your wedding music, the new trend is to have a ‘choreographed’ dance for your first dance. Try a ‘low country’ favorite dance step ~ Shag Dancing! Call instructor Pat Folds at 912-272-1762 to schedule private or group lessons!
